Alison Krauss has been a country artist for more than 30 years. She was born in Decatur, Illinois on the 23rd July 1971. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Krauss were the two youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss was born in July 1971. Alison is an American bluegrass singer and country musician. Alison Krauss started her career in music at a young age and was a winner of local contests by the age of 10. She recorded for the first album at 14. When she was 14, she joined Rounder Records and in 1987 she released her first solo album. After that, she was asked to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, her current band that she sings with. Her debut album together as a band was released in 1989.
