Meagan Good was born in Panorama City, Los Angeles in the 8th of August, 1981. Her mother Tyra Wardlow Doyle managed her as she entered her teens. Her career in acting began at age four. She was raised in Canyon Country, California with three of her siblings. In the beginning of her career, she appeared as an actor on television shows such as Doogie Howser Amen or M.D. At the age of 13, she got her first role in the debut film Friday. In 1997, she became known for her role in Eve's Bayou as Cisely Batiste who is a troubled teenage girl. The film earned her the first N.A.A.C.P. nomination for this film. Image Award nomination. Good performed in short films and also on television in the next few years. She began to take on more mature roles in the early years of 2000. She was Nina, Nickelodeon T.V.'s Cousin Skeeter. show from 1998 to 2001. She has also had minor parts on the film House Party, Down to the Very Last Minute and 3 Strikes. The year 2003 saw her portrayed Vanessa Scott in My Wife and Kids. The following year, she appeared in D.E.B.S, an action comedy movie which resulted in her being nominated as Best Actress at the Black Movie Awards in 2005.
